St. Aloysius wins MSSA-Mumbai Indians U-14 Football Championship 2013
Attacking play by St. Aloysius High school, Bandra helped them grab the Boys under-14 MSSA-Mumbai Indians Annual Inter School Football Tournament title here at the Azad Maidan, Mumbai. Zaid Shaikh was the star performer as he struck a hat-trick which his teammate braced up to the occasion. Kashif Shaikh and Asad were the other goal scorers as they won the match 6-2. In the match for the third place for the same group, Balmohan Vidyamandir didn’t find it difficult to ride pass Activity Peddar Road as they won the match 2-0 through Neil Verdia and Nakul Doshi.
St. Aloysius coach Mr. Gavin Van Drine said, “It was a lot of hard work put in by the eleven boys with six matches during their examination including the finals which we won 6-2, inspite of being down 0-2 in first half.“
